The services provided by Dr. Curtin at Align Family, Pediatric & Pregnancy Chiropractic are initial consultations, spinal adjustments, and supportive rehabilitation.
Initial Consultations
New patient exams are necessary for the commencement of treatment. They consist of a detailed patient history as well as an exam of the overall function of the musculoskeletal system. The results of this exam are used to create an individualized treatment plan.
Spinal Adjustments
Spinal adjustments are the main service that the office provides. Essentially, the nervous system controls how our bodies function. The spine houses the nervous system. If there is interference to the nervous system, the body cannot function optimally. Chiropractic adjustments relieve this interference and allow the nervous system to properly function. Techniques used will include Diversified, Drop Table, Webster, and Activator.
Supportive Rehabilitation
Supportive rehabilitation may be prescribed to supplement the chiropractic adjustment. This includes traction and neuromuscular re-education, and recommended stretches/exercise to promote overall spinal stabilization.
